Friday 23/8/19 from 6PM

Relax in the gardens of Casa Janine and enjoy a few drinks and a BBQ. It’ll be great for everyone to get to know each other before the big day!

We’ve hired 2 cooks, bought red and white wine and will provide the food. We’d just ask for £12.50 per person to cover the cost of the hire, food and wine. Alternatively, feel free to eat at one of the local restaurants

Saturday 24/8/19 – the big day!

Morning at leisure to get ready and relax before the wedding. Make sure you have a hearty breakfast!

1.30 PM Please be seated! Wedding ceremony to start at 2PM in the top gardens of Villa Melissa.
2.00-2.30 PM ‘I do’
2.30-5.30 PM Aperitif & photos in the gardens of the restaurant – prosecco and Aperol spritz. 5.30 PM Wedding breakfast on the terrace of the restaurant
7.30 PM Live music on the terrace of the restaurant
9.00 PM Wedding cake!
10.30/11 PM Everyone’s favourite music until the early hours. The bar will be open until we have finished celebrating!

Sunday 25/8/19

Depending on how hungover everyone is, we have a couple of options and will go with the majority!

  1. Relax in Casa Janine / Villa Melissa by the swimming pool
  2. Visit the local hot springs in San Casciano Dei Bagni
  3. Visit the most instagrammable hot springs at Saturnia (1hr 20min drive)
  4. Visit a vineyard
  5. Free choice – something else!

If you are still in the area, let’s go for a delicious, home cooked, rustic Italian meal en masse in Trevinano at Trattoria Da Gianfranco. Expect plastic chairs, simple but delicious cooking by Nonna (grandma). Menu includes Pizza, Antipasti, Meat, Vegetables – everything you’d expect!

More information:

Dress Code – smart, stylish – No need for ties, unless you really want one! Tailored shorts perfectly fine. For the ladies – we’ll be outside so flat shoes probably best. Feel free to dress up/down as much as you want! It will be warm, but there will be a breeze.

Parking – lots of parking before you enter the Castle walls at Fighine – on the left hand side. Signposted and of course, free.

Supermarket/ Amenities – nearest town is San Casciano Dei Bagni – 4.8km, 11 mins. Here you will find multiple grocery shops, bank, post office, pharmacy, newsagent etc – more info at
http://www.sancascianobagni.com/shop/

Restaurants and Bars – quite a few in San Casciano – we’d recommend Restaurant Daniela, Restaurant La Fontanella and Blue Eyes Pizzeria/Bar. Whilst in the town, visit Bar Centrale for an Aperol and Ice cream! Coffee and cake lovers – try Il Campanile – you won’t regret it!
